Pianist-singer Randy Martono-Chai was born in Taipei, Taiwan to a Seventh-Day Adventist missionary couple and immigrated to Loma Linda, CA to live the American life. Besides piano and singing, he studied flute, organ, music theory, arranging, orchestrating, and conducting. In May of 2017, he graduated Shenandoah Conservatory with dual Bachelor Degrees in Music Performance and Jazz Studies. All through his life, he competed in piano and voice competitions and talent shows with great success. He placed annually at the Inland Empire Piano Festival and state, regional, and national rounds of student auditions hosted by the National Association for Teachers of Singing, and won scholarships that fueled his higher education. His life growing up centered around community, competition, and creating music.
Since he graduated from Shenandoah, Randy works as a dynamic vocalist, piano soloist and accompanist, and music teacher. He served as the music director for Paul VI High School in Fairfax, VA in the Spring of 2018. A few of his networks are the Cumberland Valley School of Music in Chambersburg, PA; The Community School of Music of the Piedmont in Upperville, VA; and Cardon Studios in DC. Also, he regularly performs in VA and WV with his funk band, Souled Out.
Randy offers online, studio, and in-home music lessons for piano and voice. He specializes in Western Art, jazz, and musical theatre.
